About
Hello! I’m an illustrator, pattern designer and art/textiles teacher. I studied and worked as a Fashion designer in London for many years and this fabulous, fickle, fun and flamboyant world still influences my work. I mainly draw women and design prints for them.
My inspiration comes from observing people and everyday activities. I love to manifest our quirks and make them beautiful. My sketchbooks are where I play and explore ideas, concepts for pattern design and colour combinations through papercutting and drawing techniques.
Working with what I have is what I do best to create new ideas. Nature provides a huge source of ideas for this type of work. Music and podcasts support my mood, art and design books feed my brain and eyes.
Yoga is my hero, helping me to balance it all. Other influences come from my cultural mélange and my son and his beautiful mind.
